Coco Gauff, the 21-year-old Grand Slam champion, radiated holiday cheer this Christmas alongside her boyfriend, 23-year-old Jalen Sera. The couple, who have been together for nearly two years, shared intimate moments during their family gathering, as seen in a series of photos on Instagram.

In her post, Gauff included a snapshot where the two sport matching reindeer antlers, eliciting smiles and a cozy atmosphere. She captioned the Instagram carousel simply, “christmas 🫶🏾🎄”.

Sera reposted Gauff’s adorable photo on his own Instagram, adding a brown heart emoji to express his affection. Over the years, Gauff has openly discussed her relationship with Sera, noting a memorable dinner she prepared while watching Venus Williams’ DC Open victory.

“I never cook, but I made dinner that night… because I was so excited to watch her play,” Gauff shared. She described it as the first match she had been eager to see in a long time, expressing how wonderful it was to share that moment with Sera.

The couple’s relationship was confirmed by Gauff in November 2023 during an interview. She mentioned a special gift from Sera: an infinity necklace, a symbol she chose not to elaborate on. “My boyfriend gave this to me… I’m sure a lot of relationships look up to that symbol,” she explained.

In a 2024 cover story for Vogue, Gauff clarified that Sera is not an athlete but a musician who is pursuing his studies. “Some people thought it was someone in tennis and that couldn’t be further from the truth,” she stated. “He wants to be an actor and he plays the guitar.”

Gauff has also shared that Sera is originally from Atlanta, and interestingly, her mother taught him in the fourth grade. “He’s always been a smart, nice kid,” Gauff’s mother noted.

Though Gauff has been discreet about Sera’s identity, the couple has showcased their connection through playful interactions on social media, including mutual tagging and flirty comments.

Reflecting on the relationship’s advantages, Gauff noted to Time, “This is my first real relationship. To just have someone to talk to who is not involved in tennis at all gives me a fresh perspective.”
