In an exclusive preview clip from the forthcoming episode of Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson, Chris Noth reveals the reasons behind the end of his friendship with Sarah Jessica Parker. Scheduled to air on January 26, the episode promises an in-depth look at the actor’s perspective, notably regarding the allegations of sexual misconduct he faced in 2021.

The controversies began in December 2021 when The Hollywood Reporter published allegations from two women, prompting Noth’s denial that labeled the claims as fabrications. A subsequent third accusation emerged, detailing an incident from 2010. In response, Parker, along with her Sex and the City co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, issued a statement expressing their sadness over the allegations and support for the accusers.
Noth reflects on their collective response, calling it “nothing more than brand management,” and emphasizes the disappointment of not being contacted for his side of the story. “You’ve known me for many years,” he remarks, suggesting he would have preferred a personal discussion prior to their public statement.

Looking back, Noth acknowledges both gains and losses from the situation. He concludes, “What’s gained is good. You know where people stand and you know who your real friends are.” He expresses that the experience has been distressing, particularly the impact on his relationship with Parker.
Earlier this month, speculation around their strained relationship ignited when Noth posted a gym photo on Instagram with a caption seemingly directed at Parker, coinciding with her receiving a Golden Globe award. His comment, interpreted by many fans as a slight towards Parker, fueled further discussion on social media.
In addition to the fallout from the allegations, Noth’s character, Mr. Big, was written out of the Sex and the City revival, And Just Like That…. Originally expected to return for the season finale, his scenes were ultimately excluded from the final cut.
