Gas Leak Prompts Shelter-in-Place Order in Castaic
LOS ANGELES – Residents of Castaic have been advised to shelter in place due to a reported gas leak, raising concerns about a potential explosion.
The gas leak was detected around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, near the intersection of Ridge Route Road and Pine Crest Place. In response to the situation, authorities issued a SigAlert for traffic on the southbound 5 Freeway near Lake Hughes Road, closing all lanes for an indefinite period.
