The competition jury will be chaired by Spanish director Isabel Coixet. Competing for awards will be Finland’s Guts, Denmark’s Harvest, Spain’s I Always Sometimes and Many People Need to Die, along with the Iranian series The Red and the Black.
The previously announced industry sidebar will feature contributions from Alien: Earth creator Noah Hawley and White Lotus executive producer David Bernad.
“Despite the economic difficulties faced by all the producers we work with across all regions, the high standards and quality of the series remain unchanged,” stated Canneseries Artistic Director Albin Lewi. “Over 300 series were submitted to us from 41 countries. The selected series come from 17 countries, proving once again that Canneseries is the festival for ambitious series from around the world.”
Canneseries is set to run from April 23 to 28.
