Brush Fire in Hollywood Hills: All Safe, No Injuries Reported
Small Brush Fire Erupts in Hollywood Hills
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, Calif. — A small brush fire broke out in the Hollywood Hills on Sunday, prompting a rapid response from local firefighters. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The fire, which covered approximately a quarter-acre, was reported around 5 p.m. in the 3200 block of North Canyon Drive, close to the Brush Canyon Trail. Firefighters with the Los Angeles Fire Department quickly arrived on the scene and worked for about an hour to contain the flames.
According to LAFD spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton, the fire began with light to medium brush and was progressing slowly up the slope. By 6 p.m., firefighters had successfully halted its forward movement, reporting “no down-range spotting.” Middleton noted that the focus had shifted to complete mop-up operations.
Local authorities remain vigilant in monitoring fire conditions in the area, especially given the ongoing risk posed by dry vegetation. The prompt response from the firefighters prevented the situation from escalating further.
