Brock Purdy Surprises 49ers Teammates with $10K Custom Rolex Watches
Brock Purdy, quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, made a memorable gesture this Christmas by gifting engraved Rolex watches to members of his offensive line.
The 25-year-old player chose the luxurious Rolex Submariner Date, which has a starting price of $10,000. Each watch featured personal engravings tailored to each athlete, with center Matt Hennessy’s timepiece inscribed with “61 Bang Bang 13,” reflecting his NFL jersey number.
Hennessy shared the news on his Instagram Stories, declaring it “the best gift ever.” The watches were presented by Purdy following the team’s practice on December 24. In a press conference earlier that day, he hinted at the surprise, stating, “I’ve got something for them, but they’re going to get it after practice today. I don’t want to say. Yeah, no spoilers.”

Purdy was not the only one spreading holiday cheer among his teammates. Hennessy also posted about fellow 49ers player Mac Jones, who gifted a Breville coffee maker along with a humorous T-shirt reading “Protectors of Glock Purdy [and] Mac 10.” Christian McCaffrey also contributed to the festive gift-giving with a Bottega Veneta duffel bag.
Purdy’s generosity follows a previous Christmas when he surprised his offensive line with new Toyota trucks, expressing his gratitude for their support with a heartfelt announcement on social media: “Merry Christmas! Sorry for the wait, but if you want to follow me outside, let’s go. Alright, so we got five Sequoias, five Tundras. These are yours, so Merry Christmas. Appreciate you guys. Thanks for all you do.”
Since being drafted last overall in 2022, Purdy has led the 49ers to great achievements, including a Super Bowl appearance in 2024 where they narrowly lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite their playoff exit in the 2025 season, the 49ers are gearing up for the 2026 postseason, having already clinched a playoff berth.

In a recent press conference, Purdy expressed his admiration for his offensive line, stating, “I feel like guys are tying everything together and they’re playing together as a unit.” He highlighted their improvement over the season and commended their ability to protect him during crucial moments. “Overall, I feel like the play calls and everything have helped them,” he added. “It’s been nice to get the ball out of my hand to help them out and get into a rhythm.”
Purdy concluded with a note of pride for his teammates’ collective effort: “I’m really proud of those guys right now.”
