Luke Wilson Surprises Everyone with New Blonde Hair at the 93rd Hollywood Christmas Parade
Luke Wilson Unveils New Look and Talks Legally Blonde 3
Actor Luke Wilson, known for his role in Legally Blonde, made a striking appearance at the 93rd Hollywood Christmas Parade on Sunday, November 30. The 54-year-old sported lightened hair, pairing it with a blue-and-red flannel shirt, dark blue trousers, and a gray blazer.
Originally appearing as Emmett Richmond, the love interest of Reese Witherspoon’s iconic character Elle Woods, Wilson has expressed excitement about the possibility of a third installment in the Legally Blonde franchise. In recent years, he has actively discussed the potential sequel, especially after a cast reunion in 2022.
"I think I know as much as you all, but we did have a Zoom-call get-together last summer where the whole cast — Jennifer [Coolidge], Matthew [Davis], Selma [Blair] — all got together and talked, so it really was great to see everybody," Wilson shared in an interview with Good Morning America. He added that Witherspoon is likely waiting for the right script and timing, saying, "Reese is such a sharp individual. It’ll be really fun to make another movie."
Echoing his sentiments in a 2020 interview, Wilson stated, "Of course [I’d do it]. As for the Legally Blonde that we’re hearing about now — I don’t know anything more than the usual man on the street." He acknowledged that while there have been discussions about developing the screenplay, details remain tightly held.
Apart from his notable role in Legally Blonde, Wilson has appeared in other major films, including The Family Stone and The Royal Tenenbaums, where he starred alongside his brother, Owen Wilson. His film repertoire also includes works like Old School, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, and The Skeleton Twins.
While Legally Blonde 3 remains in the works, Reese Witherspoon is branching out with a prequel series focused on Elle’s teenage years, which is set to premiere next year.
Reflecting on his experience in Legally Blonde, Wilson recalled the enduring impact of the film, saying, “It’s just a good feeling. It’s one thing to make a movie people like; it’s another thing to make a movie that gets legs because of how people feel about it. That is a great feeling.”
With continued anticipation surrounding the franchise and Wilson’s evolving career, fans eagerly await news of the next chapter for Elle and Emmett.
