Bozoma Saint John Responds to Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Criticism of RHOBH: “Let It Develop”
As Andy Cohen engages in a public dispute with Sarah Michelle Gellar regarding her critiques of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, one of the show’s stars has offered her perspective.
Bozoma Saint John, who joined the Bravo reality series last season, responded to Gellar’s dismissal of Season 15 as “boring.” She emphasized that the current episodes are setting the stage for an exciting Season 16.
“Here’s the thing,” Saint John said in an interview with Page Six. “There has to be moments where you get deep, and sometimes that depth doesn’t require a lot of action, you know, because our lives are really real.”
She added, “There’s a lot of drama going on. That doesn’t necessarily mean conflict between us, but it is drama within each of our individual lives, and you gotta allow for space for that. I actually think it sets it up for a great next season too. Because then you let things play out, you know? So things are building. We gotta let it build.”
In contrast to Saint John’s thoughtful response, executive producer Andy Cohen took a more defensive stance regarding Gellar’s remarks on Page Six Radio, which airs from his Radio Andy studio.
“And I was like, ‘You know what? Don’t bring someone into my studio to trash my show,’” Cohen stated. “How about, the door is locked when I leave? How’s that? Or maybe think twice about posting that all over social media, where it says ‘Andy’ everywhere behind SMG. She’s wrong, by the way.”
Despite the criticism, Gellar expressed her admiration for the show, stating she is “obsessed” with RHOBH and added, “I love Boz.” However, when discussing Season 15, she remarked, “I think it’s boring. It’s slow,” though she acknowledged, “It’s just picking up now.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo and is approaching its Season 15 finale, with the reunion special having been filmed earlier this month.
