Blue Ant Appoints BBC Studios Executive Bryan Gabourie to Lead Sales in the Americas
Blue Ant Rights Announces Key Executive Appointments to Drive Growth in 2026
Blue Ant Rights has kicked off 2026 with significant leadership changes, including the appointment of Bryan Gabourie as Executive Vice President of Content Monetization and Head of Americas. In his new role, Gabourie will oversee the sales of TV programs across the Americas. Bruno Liporoni, formerly an executive at BBC Studios, has been appointed as Vice President of International Sales for Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.
Additionally, Nick Solowski has been elevated to Vice President of International Sales for the U.S. and Canada, while Jason Soh, already serving as Vice President of Distribution in Asia, will expand his responsibilities to include oversight of China and Korea.
Gabourie’s new position will focus on enhancing digital platform growth and video-on-demand monetization, and he will play a crucial role in strategic commercial decisions. Liporoni brings two decades of sales experience, including ten years at BBC Studios Australia, and will primarily target opportunities in the ANZ region.
Solowski will manage Blue Ant’s content agreements in Canada, fostering closer collaboration with the overarching leadership team in the Americas. Meanwhile, Soh’s expanded role will include managing content sales in China and Korea in addition to his existing duties.
“As we head into a new phase of growth for the company, these key executive appointments allow us to maximize our dedicated regional sales support in APAC and North America, critical to scaling our content portfolio and growing our genre offering,” stated Mark Bishop, Co-President of Blue Ant Studios. He emphasized the leadership team’s market expertise and global relationships, aimed at further expanding Blue Ant Rights and tapping into new opportunities for premium content.
Blue Ant Rights, a division of Blue Ant Media Corp, has seen considerable growth under CEO Michael MacMillan. The company completed a reverse takeover of Boat Rocker Media’s unscripted division last year and acquired Thunderbird Entertainment, significantly enhancing its content library. It has also listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange following the Boat Rocker deal and acquired the U.S.-based factual streamer, MagellanTV.
Blue Ant’s diverse slate features popular titles such as Mysteries From Above, Davey and Jonesie’s Locker, Race Against the Tide, Top Chef Canada, The Great Canadian Baking Show, and Amazing Race Canada. The company’s extensive library offers more than 8,000 hours of content, supported by offices in various global locations including Toronto, London, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Ottawa, Halifax, Singapore, and Sydney.
