Key Points
- Justin Baldoni claims Blake Lively referred to her home office as “Buckingham Palace” during their meeting arrangements.
- “She used to call it Buckingham Palace, as she said, because so many celebrities walked through there,” Baldoni stated in his deposition.
- Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds’ New York City apartment has been frequently mentioned in the ongoing legal case.
During a recent deposition, Justin Baldoni revealed that Blake Lively dubbed her home office “Buckingham Palace,” a term she used while requesting that their meetings for *It Ends With Us* take place there.
Baldoni, 41, provided his testimony on October 6, 2025, in Los Angeles as part of the ongoing legal dispute with Lively, 38.
A transcript from the deposition, included in a court filing reviewed by PEOPLE, highlighted Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds’ whimsical code name for their New York City office space.
“She used to call it Buckingham Palace, as she said, because so many celebrities walked through there,” Baldoni remarked. “I think that was her office in her penthouse apartment, which was the place that Ms. Lively requested all of our meetings be.”
In December 2024, Lively initiated legal action against her *It Ends With Us* co-star and director Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, claims he denies. Baldoni subsequently filed a countersuit for defamation and extortion, which has already been dismissed by the court.

The trial, initially scheduled for March, has been postponed until May 2026. Baldoni attended Lively’s deposition in July, while Reynolds has not been called to testify.
The couple’s Manhattan apartment has repeatedly surfaced in the legal proceedings. Notably, Baldoni has alleged that Reynolds “berated” him during a meeting regarding accusations of “fat-shaming” Lively while filming *It Ends With Us*.
In another instance, Baldoni discussed a personal exchange with Lively at the penthouse, where he indicated he had shared information about his circumcision in the context of a conversation about her upcoming baby. Lively and Reynolds have four children together, while Baldoni has two with his wife, Emily.
During the deposition, Lively’s attorney, Michael J. Gottlieb, asked, “Did you at any point share with Ms. Lively whether you were circumcised?” to which Baldoni responded affirmatively.
When questioned if Lively directly inquired about this, Baldoni clarified, “Directly, no.” Gottlieb then sought clarification on the surroundings during the conversation, prompting Baldoni to describe the bustling environment filled with nannies, assistants, and Reynolds, who was intermittently engaged in the conversation.
