Members of BLACKPINK—JENNIE, JISOO, LISA, and ROSÉ—made a striking entrance at the Met Gala on Monday, May 4, showcasing their unique fashion styles as they walked the red carpet individually.

JISOO, in her Met Gala debut, wowed attendees with a sparkling pink floral gown designed by Dior. Speaking with Vogue red carpet co-hosts Ashley Graham and Cara Delevingne, she shared her excitement, saying, “It’s my first Met Gala. I’m so excited and a little nervous too.” She added, “We’re trying the flowers. It’s so exciting.” Complementing her dress, JISOO wore a vintage Cartier necklace. She explained that the ensemble took “four to five hours” to complete, a decision viewers deemed well justified.

ROSÉ also spoke with Vogue, discussing her Yves Saint Laurent dress inspired by an avian theme. She and stylist Law Roach collaborated on fashion and art before the event, with ROSÉ noting, “the bird stood out because of the theme of the Met Gala this year,” which revolved around “Fashion Is Art.” Reflecting on her preparation, she remarked, “It was a privilege to learn the inspiration YSL had with art,” referring to the Georges Braque painting The Birds at the Louvre, which influenced her outfit.

LISA’s arrival was marked by her sculptural gown designed by Robert Wun. Highlighting the artistry of her outfit, she shared, “I’m just so happy to showcase myself in an art form like this.” The gown featured 3D-printed replicas of her own arms. LISA also hinted at her upcoming Las Vegas residency, expressing her excitement: “It sold out! I can’t wait to show my fans what I prepared.”

Completing the group, JENNIE dazzled in a shimmering silver dress by Chanel, crafted from 15,000 sequined leaves. During her conversation with Anthony on the red carpet, she remarked, “I feel like a mosaic artwork come alive,” and expressed her anticipation about reuniting with her fellow BLACKPINK members inside the gala.
