BLACKPINK made a memorable appearance at the 2026 Met Gala, briefly taking over the ladies’ restroom for an impromptu photo opportunity. Members JISOO, ROSÉ, JENNIE, and LISA gathered around a sink to capture the moment during the prestigious event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The snapshot, shared on Instagram by one of the group’s stars late Wednesday, May 6, just two days post-gala, features JISOO playfully sticking out her tongue while taking a selfie in the bathroom mirror. Next to her, ROSÉ pulls a silly face, JENNIE strikes a cute duck face, and LISA beams with her eyes closed.
Gracie Abrams can also be seen in the background of the photo, which attracted a flurry of heart and tongue-out emojis from ROSÉ in the comments.
Each member of BLACKPINK walked the Met carpet separately, showcasing their individual, thematic gowns. This year’s dress code, “Fashion Is Art,” aligned with the Costume Institute’s latest exhibit, “Costume Art.” Notably, LISA donned a striking outfit that included life-sized fake arms, adding a distinctive flair to her ensemble (not visible in the bathroom selfie).
The quartet recently celebrated the release of their EP *Deadline*, which debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart after its February release. In January, BLACKPINK concluded their global Deadline World Tour, a significant reunion for the members after a year of pursuing solo endeavors.
While future plans for the group remain uncertain, JISOO hinted at her upcoming debut solo album, expressing in a cover story with *V Magazine*, “I’m working on showing a wider range of music. I think I’d be really happy if people listen to this album and say they discovered a new side of me.”
