Charlize Theron and Baltasar Kormákur Collaborate on ‘Six Clean Kills’ Adaptation at Universal
Universal Pictures Announces Adaptation of ‘Six Clean Kills’ with Charlize Theron
Universal Pictures is moving forward with an adaptation of the novel Six Clean Kills, with details about the plot remaining tightly secured. Charlize Theron is set to produce the film through her Secret Menu production banner, in collaboration with AJ Dix and Beth Kono. Baltasar Kormákur will also serve as producer under Blueeyes Productions, with Parish acting as the executive producer.
Ryan Jones, Senior Vice President of Production Development, and Christine Sun, Director of Production Development, will supervise the project for the studio.
This marks a continued partnership between Kormákur and Theron, who previously joined forces on Apex, which premiered on Netflix on April 24, 2026. The film topped Netflix’s global English film charts, staying at number one for two consecutive weeks and drawing an impressive 40.8 million viewers in its second week.
While Theron has been loosely attached to Six Clean Kills for some time, the pair began discussions after the Apex shoot, eager to collaborate again. The film is currently in development, as Theron is occupied with shooting the Amazon MGM Studios thriller Tyrant, and Kormákur is in production on the Netflix film The Big Fix, which stars Mark Wahlberg and Riz Ahmed.
Kormákur is represented by CAA and Range Media Partners, while Theron is represented by CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller, Gellman, Meigs & Fox. Parish’s representation includes CAA, The Book Group, and Jackoway, Austen, Tyerman, Wertheimer, Mandelbaum, Morris, Bernstein, Trattner, Auerbach, Hynick, Jaime, LeVine, Sample & Klein.
