Billy Crystal and Larry David visited the home of Rob Reiner shortly after news confirmed his death, which is being investigated as an apparent homicide.
A source confirmed that Crystal, 77, and David, 78, arrived separately at Reiner’s Brentwood, California home on the night of December 14. This visit followed reports that both Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found deceased at their home.
Multiple sources indicate that the couple was reportedly killed by their son, Nick.
A neighbor described Crystal as looking “like he was about to cry,” according to reports from ABC 7 Los Angeles.
Reiner’s extensive body of work includes notable collaborations with Crystal, featured in films such as When Harry Met Sally, This Is Spinal Tap, and The Princess Bride. Reiner also made an appearance on David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.

On the afternoon of December 14, around 3:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department was summoned to the Reiner residence to provide medical assistance. Upon arrival, officials discovered the bodies of a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman, later confirmed to be Rob and Michele. They were reportedly discovered first by their daughter, Romy.

Rob Reiner, an accomplished director, producer, and actor, is celebrated for his work on some of Hollywood’s most beloved films. His directorial debut, This Is Spinal Tap, debuted in 1984, followed by classics such as Stand by Me (1986), The Princess Bride (1987), When Harry Met Sally… (1989), Misery (1990), and A Few Good Men (1992).
He gained fame portraying Mike on the sitcom All in the Family, created by Norman Lear.
Rob and Michele first met when he directed When Harry Met Sally, eventually marrying in 1989 and raising three children together. Rob was previously married to the late Penny Marshall, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 75 due to complications from diabetes.
