Bill Camp Teams Up with Melissa McCarthy and Connor Storrie in Craig Zobel’s Thriller ‘Turpentine’
EXCLUSIVE: Actor Bill Camp, known for his roles in The Night Of, has officially joined Melissa McCarthy and Connor Storrie in the upcoming indie thriller Turpentine, directed by Craig Zobel, famous for his work on The Penguin and Mare of Easttown.
Details regarding the characters remain undisclosed.
The film is based on a script by Justin Varava, which earned a spot on the 2024 Black List. Turpentine tells the story of a troubled son who enlists his friends to rob his own parents to settle a debt with a bookie, leading to catastrophic outcomes.
Production is being handled by Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman’s T-Street, in partnership with Shivani Rawat’s ShivHans Pictures.
Camp, a two-time Emmy nominee and recipient of an Actor Award, is widely recognized for his performances in renowned series such as The Night Of, The Queen’s Gambit, and Presumed Innocent. His recent projects include Netflix’s Zero Day, HBO’s The Gilded Age, and Ethan Coen’s Honey Don’t!, alongside How to Make a Killing from A24/Studiocanal, featuring Glen Powell.
Looking ahead, Camp has a busy schedule with upcoming projects that include Apple, Skydance, and Mattel’s Matchbox: The Movie, the Lionsgate/87North action thriller Karoshi, Amazon MGM’s Judgment Day starring Will Ferrell and Zac Efron, and Apple TV’s Lazarus. Additionally, he is involved in the crime thriller Operation Fastlink and the indie film Ponderosa, featuring Jack Dylan Grazer and Alexis Bledel.
