In an Instagram Story posted on May 1, Manilow expressed optimism about his health, stating, “Good news! I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I’m making great progress and look great! All the training and exercising I’ve put in is paying off. He did say, however, that I’m not quite ready for Vegas. This means I won’t be able to return for our May shows at Westgate Las Vegas.”
He also reassured fans that he would be ready for his June arena shows in the U.K. “The Westgate Las Vegas is my home away from home and I’ll see you all in July,” he affirmed.
This postponement is the most recent in a series of delays since Manilow revealed his Stage 1 lung cancer diagnosis in December 2025. Following surgery to remove a cancerous spot from his left lung, he has not performed. His February Las Vegas residency dates were initially delayed, followed by the postponement of his arena tour launch from late February through March, as well as his April shows, all on his doctor’s advice for additional recovery time.
Despite these challenges, Manilow remains resolute in his desire to return to performing. His Las Vegas residency at Westgate is scheduled to continue through December 2026, and his farewell arena tour, titled The Last Concerts, has rescheduled dates still planned.
Recognized by Billboard as the No. 1 Adult Contemporary Artist of all time, Manilow has sold over 85 million albums globally and achieved 13 No. 1 singles on the Adult Contemporary chart throughout his career, which spans more than five decades. He is also a recipient of Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Awards, and is an inductee of the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
In March, his new single “Once Before I Go” reached the top 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart, making him the only artist to achieve an Adult Contemporary hit over six consecutive decades—from the 1970s to the 2020s. His forthcoming album, What a Time, set to release on June 5, is his first new material in nearly 15 years.
