Ariana Madix Shares Her Thoughts on Her New Brunette Hair, ‘Love Island,’ and More
Ariana Madix Unveils Bold Hair Transformation Ahead of BravoCon
In an unexpected move, Ariana Madix, host of Love Island, showcased a dramatic hair transformation just two days before the much-anticipated BravoCon. The reality star, renowned for her bright blonde locks, debuted a rich brunette hue, captivating both fans and attendees alike.
“I get very bored,” Madix shared during her time at the TRESemmé activation at BravoCon, shortly before her "Love, Ariana Style" panel. “When I’m shooting Love Island, it’s easy to feel less bored because we’re doing so many fun looks. But when it’s just me at home with my slick-back bun every day, I was like, ‘I really wanna do something to change it up.’” This transition was executed alongside stylist Alysa Pace, with Madix expressing confidence in her decision, noting that she had been “soft launching” the idea for a while.
Madix emphasized the timing of her change, suggesting BravoCon as the ideal occasion for such a shift. “A couple of days ago, this is what fits; I felt good about it,” she stated, explaining her collaborative efforts with makeup artist Afton to ensure her overall look aligned with the event’s vibrancy.
Reflecting on her transformation, Madix encouraged others to embrace the idea of significant hair changes. “I think people always try to scare you out of making changes, like, ‘What if you don’t like it?’ You can always change it again,” she advised.
Furthermore, Madix shared insights about her haircare routine. She highlighted the benefits of using TRESemmé Lamellar Gloss Finishing Oil, which enhances shine and maintains hair health, particularly for individuals with fine, straight hair like hers. “Being darker now, you see the shine more. It really comes through,” she noted, emphasizing that the product keeps her hair glossy for up to 72 hours.
Madix also discussed her approach to hairstyling, indicating that while she favors a slick-back bun for its versatility, she understands the importance of maintaining a polished appearance for camera work. “It’s important for the hair to have some sheen, some shine to it,” she explained, while cautioning that certain styles may not translate well on screen.
In closing, Madix revealed that she continues to rely on her longtime fragrance, Bigarade 18 from Le Labo, which she has used for years. She finds joy in mixing it with scents from Sol de Janeiro to create a unique signature aroma.
As Madix steps boldly into her new brunette look, her willingness to embrace change serves as an inspiring reminder of the thrill of transformation, especially in the high-pressure world of reality television.
