Jennifer Aniston Talks About Her Hair Care Routine, Scalp Health, and Exciting News from LolaVie
Jennifer Aniston, a renowned figure in the entertainment industry, is shifting the focus of her hair-care narrative as she enters the new year. While she has long been celebrated for her iconic hairstyles and glossy locks, Aniston is now emphasizing a lesser-discussed aspect of hair health: scalp care. This pivot coincides with the release of LolaVie’s Let There Be Hair Scalp Serum, priced at $49, which marks a significant expansion for her hair-care brand.
For Aniston, the launch is both personal and timely. “What we don’t realize is that healthy hair starts with our scalp,” she said. “This is something that has been brought to my attention in the last couple of years, which is why we’ve made our scalp scrub and then, of course, the serum. It’s just as important to take care of our scalp as it is our face and our bodies and all of the skin, all over the body.”
The formulation of the serum took time, but Aniston insists it was worth the wait. “It took us some time to get it right, but it’s been worth the wait because we love it. It’s our new favorite.”
Aniston’s discerning eye for hair products is well-known, and she holds high expectations for the texture of her serum. “I always shy away from serums if they’re going to leave some sort of a weird sticky texture or can ruin a blow dry,” she explained. “I would say it was really about getting that texture just right.”
Despite her historic status in hair fashion, Aniston admits that her hair has a mind of its own. “My hair is very moody. And I mean very moody!” she exclaimed. “It can do a bunch of different things every single day. If it’s humid out, I’m screwed.” To manage this unpredictability, she relies on her LolaVie products, which she considers essential.
When asked about industry standards she would like to change, Aniston highlighted the time commitment required for hair care. “I wish I’d known about hair care, taking care of our scalp and our hair from a younger age…if only we knew earlier,” she remarked.
Aniston noted that maintaining her hair color now involves more frequent salon visits than she anticipated, joking, “By the way, now it’s almost every two weeks. It’s crazy! The highlights help, but it’s just a drag. It’s endless.” Reflecting on her early education in skincare, she emphasized that scalp care was not included. “My mom taught me to start washing my face and using serums when I was in high school. If only she’d known about the scalp.”
Looking ahead, Aniston plans to focus on self-care in 2026. “I want to slow down and de-stress…and work on not taking so much on at once,” she contemplated. “My eyes are bigger than my stomach. I’m going to be very mindful of what I say yes to.”
This approach aligns with the foundation of her latest product. With the availability of LolaVie’s Scalp Serum in Ulta stores starting in January, Aniston is enthusiastic about encouraging broader awareness of scalp health.
