Andy Cohen Clears Up Rumors About Plastic Surgery After CNN New Year’s Eve Show
Speculation Rises Over Andy Cohen’s Appearance After New Year’s Eve Broadcast
During CNN’s live New Year’s Eve broadcast, TV personality Andy Cohen sparked renewed speculation about his appearance and its possible connection to plastic surgery.
Comments from viewers on social media questioned the dramatic change. One user on Threads posted, “I just saw the new clips of Andy Cohen on NYE and WTF did he do to his face?!? Is he trying to find a new husband at Mar-a-Lago?” This led to widespread discussion regarding the apparent alteration in his look.
Cohen, 57, took to the comments section to clarify the situation. He responded, “Did the smallest amount of Botox and lost 20 pounds. And had a lot of makeup on.”
Co-hosting the holiday special with friend Anderson Cooper, Cohen received support from several famous acquaintances. Monica Lewinsky commented, “And are v handsome!” while author Lynette Rice added, “Don’t forget to mention your fabulous hair!”
The Bravo star has openly discussed his personal wellness journey that began last year. On a September 2025 episode of his radio show, "Andy Cohen Live," he revealed, “I was really unhappy with my weight… [My doctor] had recommended a GLP-1 a few times to not only address what I was feeling about my weight but to treat plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure.” He mentioned utilizing a "micro-dose" of the injections alongside a new diet and exercise regimen.
Cohen emphasized the privilege of having access to the GLP-1 treatment, stating, “I feel like it caused me to reframe my relationship with food.” However, he has since stopped the injections, noting his appetite returned after the micro-dosing.
Earlier this year, Cohen confessed to trying Botox for the first time. During the Married to Medicine season 11 reunion, he joked with Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, asking, “What I really want to know is who gets more Botox, you or Scott?” After a lighthearted exchange with Metcalfe about her husband’s treatments, Cohen remarked, “I just got it for the first time in my life… about a month ago, they gave me a little.”
Fellow cast member Toya Bush-Harris advised Cohen to try Botox again, stating, “It’s supposed to hit faster than a month.”
Notably, Cohen had previously expressed reluctance about trying injectables. He recalled advice from the late comedian Joan Rivers, who often urged him to consider Botox, saying he had never touched it until now.
As Cohen navigates his personal journey with weight loss and cosmetic treatments, his candidness continues to engage both fans and critics alike.
