An-Li Bogan Joins the Cast of NBC’s New Crime Drama Pilot by Dean Georgaris and John Fox
An-Li Bogan, known for her role in The American Society of Magical Negroes, has been cast as a series regular alongside Emily Deschanel in NBC’s upcoming drama pilot, penned by writers Dean Georgaris and John Fox.
The untitled series draws inspiration from the work of expert profiler and author Dr. Ann Burgess, who is the subject of the 2024 Hulu docuseries Mastermind: To Think Like a Killer. The narrative follows Professor Georgia Ryan (Deschanel), a pioneering psychologist who aims to revolutionize the field of criminology by shifting the investigative focus from the perpetrator to the victim. This approach seeks to uncover critical clues often overlooked by traditional methods. Along with her team, she collaborates with the FBI to tackle some of the most perplexing and elusive cases.
Bogan will portray Natalie Washington, a character with hyperthymesia, a rare condition that enables her to recall every moment of her life with perfect clarity. This extraordinary ability makes her an invaluable asset in investigations—she can instantly remember details that others may forget and identify patterns that would elude a typical observer.
