Amy Schumer is embracing a new chapter in her life. On January 4, the actress, 44, shared a collection of candid, makeup-free photos on Instagram that were taken before and during a recent getaway. Among the images, she modeled swimwear from Eres Paris and dresses from The Row.
“My mom took these photos of me while I was packing for a trip,” Schumer wrote in her post. “And the last photo I’m on the trip. This year is about self-care and self-love.” She emphasized her choice to go without makeup, posting the images without filters.
After tagging the clothing brands she wore, Schumer invited her 12.6 million Instagram followers to join her in setting personal goals for the year. “Let’s all appreciate our health, our families, our friends, and have the best year of our lives,” she stated. “Moving forward with no regrets. Just love.” She concluded her message with hashtags including “#perimenopause” and “#csection.”
Since confirming her split from Chris Fischer in a December 12 Instagram post, the I Feel Pretty star has remained active on social media. In her announcement, she humorously referenced typical celebrity split statements: “Blah blah blah Chris and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage after 7 years. We love each other very much and will continue to focus on raising our son.”

Schumer has also addressed the public’s curiosity regarding her recent weight loss. Following speculation about her appearance, she revealed that she lost 50 pounds not for aesthetic reasons, but for health: “I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared,” she stated, referring to her Cushing syndrome diagnosis. Cushing syndrome is characterized by excess cortisol production, leading to various symptoms, including weight fluctuations and high blood pressure.
In a December 1 Instagram post, she candidly shared, “Not to look hot, which does feel fun and temporary, but to survive.” In her humorous yet heartfelt tone, she ended with an apology for any mixed feelings her weight loss might evoke, while also acknowledging that she has used the weight-loss medication Mounjaro.
