Alyssa Farah Griffin Returns to The View and Shares Her Journey Through Pregnancy Challenges
Alyssa Farah Griffin made her return to The View on December 4 after a brief hiatus due to illness. The conservative co-host rejoined the panel, which includes Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sarah Haines, and Sunny Hostin, after being absent for three days.
Audience applause greeted Griffin as she returned to her seat. “Thank you, I missed you guys,” she expressed, visibly moved by the warm welcome.
Goldberg took a moment to inquire about Griffin’s health. “I’m feeling totally better, but getting sick while you’re pregnant is no joke,” Griffin replied, emphasizing the challenges of her condition.
Behar lightened the mood with a quip about medication. “No Tylenol for you,” she remarked, to which Griffin responded, “I can’t take anything. But I’m feeling great. I’m not contagious, and I’ve missed you guys.”
Behar went on to express her excitement about Griffin’s upcoming addition to her family, saying, “I’m really excited we’re going to have a baby on the show.”
Griffin had missed the show’s first live episode following the Thanksgiving break on Monday. On December 3, she took to social media to explain her absence, sharing, “Hey guys! I’ve been down sick with a stomach virus, but will hopefully be back on The View tomorrow.”
At 6.5 months pregnant, Griffin highlighted the difficulty of her illness, advising viewers to “be smart, use hand sanitizer, stay home if you’re sick” as the flu season approaches.
