Allegra Edwards Cast as Female Lead in CBS Comedy Pilot from the Makers of ‘Ghosts’
Allegra Edwards will transition from the futuristic world of the acclaimed series Upload to a new comedic role in CBS’s upcoming vampire pilot, Eternally Yours. She has been cast as the female lead alongside Ed Weeks.
Edwards’s casting comes after her guest appearances in Seasons 3 and 4 of CBS’s Ghosts, which is also produced by CBS Studios.
Written by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, Eternally Yours explores the centuries-old love story of two vampires, Liz (played by Edwards) and Charles (Weeks), who have been married for 500 years. The plot centers around their attempts to navigate the complexities of accepting a human, Max, who is dating their daughter.
In addition to Weeks, Jaren Lewison is also set to star as Max, adding further depth to the comedic dynamic.
Intelligent and sophisticated, Liz is not only a mother and wife but also a history professor—having lived since 1526 AD. While her husband Charles clings to the past, Liz seeks to modernize their ancient marriage, determined to bring him into the 21st century.
Port and Wiseman will executive produce the series alongside Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang, with CBS Studios handling production.
Edwards previously played Ingrid in Upload, which recently concluded its four-season run on Prime Video. She has also completed filming the independent film Nothing Will Come Of Nothing and is set to guest star in Season 2 of Bad Thoughts, featuring Tom Segura on Netflix. Additionally, she lent her voice to Willow, Bobby’s vegan girlfriend, in the recent revival of King of the Hill. Edwards is represented by Innovative Artists Entertainment and OPE Partners.
