In a recent interview, Silverstone praised the film’s director, Yorgos Lanthimos, calling him a "brilliant genius." This admiration comes as she promotes her latest project, Bugonia, a dark comedy featuring Emma Stone. The film follows two conspiracy theorists who kidnap a tech CEO, believing she is an alien.
Silverstone’s oversized blazer, complete with pronounced shoulders and voluminous sleeves, complemented her loose, flowing hair. She accessorized with a small top-handle bag, which appeared to be crafted from black crocodile leather, adding a subtle touch of elegance to her bold look.
For those unfamiliar, the Actors Awards, previously known as the SAG Awards, announced the name change on November 18, signaling a new focus on the actors within the SAG-AFTRA union. In Bugonia, Silverstone plays Sandy, a character who is the mother of one of the kidnappers and features in a series of black-and-white flashbacks. Reflecting on her experience working with Lanthimos, Silverstone expressed her enthusiasm: "I just love free falling into Yorgos’s world. I love that I can trust him and do whatever he has in mind. I’ve seen enough of his work to know that’s a whole planet you’re entering and it’s a wonderful one."
