Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant Celebrate New Year’s Eve in New York City
Keanu Reeves and his partner, Alexandra Grant, welcomed the new year at Sandra Bernhard’s lively party in New York City, marking a celebratory start to 2026.
Grant, a visual artist, shared a photo with Reeves, 61, during the festivities at Joe’s Pub, where Bernhard hosted the event. The couple began their relationship in 2019, and both have recently addressed rumors regarding their marital status, which they confirmed to be untrue.
In her Instagram post, Grant reflected on the past year, writing, "Grateful for this Snake year’s lessons that made a lot evidently clear about ourselves and others and allowed us to fall in love with each other and our work in new ways."
The caption also included a nod to Reeves’ ongoing involvement in theater, stating, "Viva Godot and Antigone!" as he approaches the end of his Broadway run in Waiting for Godot on January 4. Grant’s message touched on themes of creative growth and gratitude, wishing for peace and enriching experiences in the new year.
Reeves and Grant made their public debut as a couple at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in November 2019. Sources revealed that their romantic involvement began earlier that year, with Reeves expressing happiness and appreciation for Grant’s presence in his life. They first collaborated on the book Ode to Happiness in 2011, which combined Grant’s illustrations with Reeves’ text.
The couple recently denied internet speculation regarding their marriage, with Grant labeling the rumors "fake news" and Reeves humorously noting that similar rumors have previously circulated about their relationship.
Bernhard, 70, who hosted the New Year’s event, also shared her thanks on Instagram, posting images from the gathering alongside notable attendees. She expressed her gratitude for the support she received and emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration moving forward into 2026.
