A$AP Rocky, known for his engaging discussions on fatherhood, recently shared his thoughts during an episode of The New York Times Popcast. In the January 16 interview, the rapper opened up about the distinct personalities of his three young children, whom he raises with pop star Rihanna.
Rocky remarked on the contrasting behaviors of his sons, noting, “You know, my first son, RZA, he’s just really like, he’s [the] opposite of his brother, the 3-year-old and the 2-year-old. They’re about 14 months apart. So, they’re really close, but he’s really antisocial.”

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna, both 37, are proud parents to sons RZA, aged 3½, and Riot, aged 2, as well as their daughter Rocki, born in September 2025.
During the conversation, hosts Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli humorously noted the arrival of a “monk” toddler and a “rockstar” toddler, before shifting their focus to Rocky’s youngest daughter.
Reflecting on his life with his two sons prior to Rocki’s birth, A$AP Rocky likened their dynamic to their own “He-Man Women Haters Club,” a playful reference to the classic film. “Like, here we go. I’m with the little rascals, man. And then baby Rocki came in and just kind of took over the whole household,” he joked.
At just four months old, he describes Rocki as “very talkative” with a penchant for giggling and smiling.

When discussing parenting roles, A$AP Rocky confidently stated, “None of us have to be. We are cool-ass parents,” while also acknowledging his relatively young age as a parent.
He emphasized a parenting philosophy that encourages individuality in his children, allowing them the freedom to choose their own lifestyles. “They eat whatever they want. I got to let them be themselves,” he expressed, pointing out that, despite being a vegetarian, he respects his children’s dietary choices.
Looking ahead, A$AP Rocky expressed excitement for guiding his sons in various activities, such as sports, stating, “I always said to myself, like, ‘Yo, if I ever become a dad, I’mma be the coolest dad.’ And I think that’s — being a dad made me cooler. My swag is up, bro.”
A$AP Rocky’s fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb, was released on January 16, further showcasing his multifaceted talent.
