Netflix Plans Exciting Korean Content for 2026
K-content continues to dominate streaming on Netflix, ranking as the most-watched genre outside of English-language film and television. A recent showcase of the platform’s upcoming Korean content suggests an exciting 2026 ahead.
Netflix has already invested billions in Korean originals, and all 34 series and films presented at yesterday’s event had been previously announced. However, the event did provide a detailed launch schedule for the upcoming year.
This news follows the significant success of Squid Game Season 3, which has become Netflix’s fourth-most watched series of all time, trailing only its prior seasons and Wednesday Season 1.
During the Asia Pacific showcase, Minyoung Kim, Netflix’s Vice President of Content for Asia (excluding India), emphasized the impact of the company’s local investments on the growth of K-dramas. “The volume, scope, and impact of Netflix’s K-dramas have been made possible by this heavy local investment,” he stated.

Kim added, “We gave K-drama fans more of what they loved, but invested in differentiated new stories that took K-content fandom to the next level. Even outside APAC, we have helped to ensure local authenticity sits at the heart of Netflix series. For example, One Piece was a true collaboration between the U.S., Korea, and Japan teams to create a truly global series that was underpinned in Japanese storytelling and imagery.”
Among the first-quarter launches for 2026, Netflix will debut Single’s Inferno Season 5 today, along with The Art of Sarah on February 13, and the unscripted show Agents of Mystery 2, also set for February. Additional upcoming series include Boyfriend on Demand, Pavane, and Ready or Not: Texas, along with other unscripted titles with unspecified launch dates.
Recently released romantic series such as Can This Love Be Translated?, No Tail to Tell, and K-drama Undercover Miss Hong have already garnered attention.
Looking ahead to the second quarter, Netflix will premiere Better Late Than Single Season 2, Bloodhounds Season 2, and several new features including Husbands in Action, If Wishes Could Kill, Jae-seok’s B&B Rules!, Notes From the Last Row, Sold Out on You, Teach You a Lesson, The Wonderfools, and We Are All Trying Here. The third quarter will see the launches of Kian’s Bizarre B&B Season 2, Mission: Cross 2, Mousetrap, Our Sticky Love, Take a Hike!, The East Palace, and The Scandal. In the fourth quarter, viewers can expect Culinary Class War Season 3, Dead-End Job, Possible Love (working title), Road (working title), Take Charge of My Heart, Tantara, and The Devil’s Plan Season 3.
During the APAC showcase, Don Kang, Netflix’s VP of Content for Korea, noted, “Over the past five years, more than 210 Korean titles have been ranked in the global top ten, and now, ‘the most Korean story is the most global story’ has become a reality.”
