A Simple Guide to Buying Tickets for the 2028 L.A. Summer Olympics
LA28 Announces Ticket Registration for 2028 Olympics
On Monday, LA28 unveiled the next phase of its ticketing strategy for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, revealing that ticket registration will commence on January 14, 2025.
Fans can register on the official LA28 website from January 14 until March 18. All registrants will be entered into a random drawing for time slots to purchase tickets. As part of the registration process, fans will be asked to provide their zip codes. Residents from the Los Angeles and Oklahoma City areas, close to the event venues, will be given priority access to these initial time slots.
“The goal there is to make sure that we’re getting tickets into the hands not just of fans, but of local fans,” said Allison Katz-Mayfield, LA28’s senior vice president of Games delivery revenue. “Those that are going to be closest to the Games, really helping us host these Games in some ways.”
The 2028 Olympics is set to be historic in scale, featuring 36 sports and a total of 11,198 athletes. Most events will take place in Los Angeles, with key venues in downtown areas, Exposition Park, and the Sepulveda Basin. Additional events will be hosted in cities such as Carson, Inglewood, and Long Beach, while Oklahoma City is slated to host softball and canoe slalom competitions at existing facilities.
Tyler Skaggs Wrongful Death Trial Update
The wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of late Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs is now entering its crucial phase, as jurors in an Orange County Superior Court prepare to deliberate on whether Skaggs’ widow and parents are entitled to substantial damages. This development comes four years after the suit was initiated.
In closing statements on Monday, plaintiffs’ attorney Daniel Dutko argued that the Los Angeles Angels failed to properly supervise Eric Kay, the former team communications director who reportedly supplied Skaggs with the fentanyl that led to his death in 2019.
Conversely, defense attorney Todd Theodora portrayed Skaggs as a manipulative opioid addict who took advantage of Kay, asserting that the Angels bear no liability in the matter.

Jaylen Wells added 16 points, and rookie Cedric Coward chipped in with 12. Ja Morant also made a noteworthy return from injury, scoring 12 points.
Kawhi Leonard led the Clippers with 21 points, and Kris Dunn followed with 17. The defeat marks the Clippers’ 12th loss in their last 14 games, underscoring a troubling trend as they continue to struggle at home.

“When it comes to Anthony Lucas and Bishop Fitzgerald, they want to play but are managing injuries and working their way back … we’ll see how that goes,” he stated.
LAFC Welcomes New Head Coach
LAFC introduced Marc Dos Santos as their new head coach, marking a significant transition for the team. Dos Santos, who has served as an assistant coach for five years, met fans immediately after his introduction at BMO Stadium.
Despite the club’s successful history in MLS, supporters have raised questions about the connection between Dos Santos’ past role and what changes fans can expect under his leadership.
Kings Face Loss and Injury
In another challenging outing, the Los Angeles Kings fell 4-1 to the Dallas Stars. Mikko Rantanen and Matt Duchene of the Stars each registered a goal and an assist, contributing to the victory.
