Sofronio Vasquez: Catching Up on His Life One Year After Winning Season 26 of The Voice

Sofronio Vasquez’s career took a significant turn when he clinched victory on season 26 of The Voice in December 2024.
This momentous win made him the first Filipino artist to earn the top title on the U.S. edition of The Voice, while also marking Michael Bublé’s first success as a coach on the show.
During the finale, Bublé extolled Vasquez’s achievement, saying, “My Filipino brother, you are the hope of so many people … it has been such an unbelievable journey. I’m just so happy for you.”
Before his rise to fame, Vasquez was on the path to becoming a dentist. However, the death of his father—the person who kindled his passion for music—prompted him to pursue his dreams. He then moved to the United States to carve out a career in music.
As the season 26 champion, Vasquez earned a $100,000 cash prize and a recording contract. Since then, he has been active in the music scene, collaborating with Bublé on new projects, including his upcoming song “Superman,” which he is set to perform during the season 28 finale of The Voice.
Vasquez Went on Tour

Following his victory, Vasquez announced a concert tour in February 2025. The extensive 20-date tour commenced on March 15 and concluded on October 18, visiting cities throughout the United States, as well as locations in Canada, Dubai, and the Philippines.
Reflecting on his experiences, Vasquez noted, “Those international shows taught me so much. Music really does cross every boundary you can think of.”
He elaborated, “I’ve watched people who don’t speak English connect emotionally with a song, and that’s powerful. Every country, every audience has given me something different.”
He’s Released New Music, Including a Christmas Song with Bublé

In the wake of his The Voice triumph, Vasquez has continued to release new music, including tracks like “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” “Nandito Lang,” and “Patient.”
Additionally, embracing the holiday spirit, he recorded two Christmas songs—“Maybe This Christmas” with Bublé and “My Grown Up Christmas List” with David Foster.
He’s Performed at Several Sporting Events

In addition to his concert tour, Vasquez has graced the stages of several major sporting events since his victory on The Voice. In July 2025, he performed “America the Beautiful” at the Belmont Derby Invitational held at the Saratoga Race Course in New York.
More recently, Vasquez sang the anthem at the NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Washington Commanders at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in October 2025.
He’s Returning to The Voice Stage in December 2025

Vasquez is set to return to The Voice stage for the first time since his season 26 victory, performing during the season 28 finale on December 16. At this appearance, he will debut his new song “Superman,” written by Bublé.
