Amanda Kozlowski Steps Up as Lionsgate’s New Worldwide Marketing President
Lionsgate Appoints Amanda Kozlowski as President of Worldwide Marketing for Motion Picture Group
Amanda Kozlowski has been named President of Worldwide Marketing for Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group. The promotion follows her tenure as the interim Head of Marketing where she significantly influenced the studio’s branding and franchise strategies.
In her new role, Kozlowski will oversee the marketing strategies for major franchises, including John Wick, Saw, and The Hunger Games, while also managing the marketing efforts for emerging properties like The Housemaid. She will collaborate closely with Erin Westerman, President of the Motion Picture Group, to guide films from development to release, reinforcing the partnership between Creative and Marketing teams.
Kozlowski will continue to report directly to Adam Fogelson, Chair of the Motion Picture Group. Fogelson expressed his confidence in Kozlowski’s capabilities, stating, “I recognized Amanda’s talent and leadership abilities when I arrived at Lionsgate and have relied on her ever since as a trusted advisor. Her modern approach to marketing is uniquely suited for this moment.”
During her interim period, Kozlowski spearheaded global campaign strategies for successful films, including Michael, which has grossed $424 million and is noted as the second-highest grossing musical biopic of all time. The launch of the Michael teaser trailer set a record for the most views for a music biopic in its first 24 hours, while the teaser for Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping became the second-most successful in studio history.
Kozlowski, who has been with Lionsgate for 18 years, has held various roles within the company, contributing to strategy, distribution, and marketing. She has previously worked as interim Co-Lead of Theatrical Marketing, collaborated closely with Fogelson, and led campaigns for Lionsgate’s limited-release theatrical and multiplatform business. Her career at Lionsgate began in 2008 as a junior brand marketing manager in Home Entertainment.
In addition to Kozlowski’s promotion, Lionsgate also announced the elevation of Nasim Cambron and Jack Teed to key positions within the marketing leadership team. Cambron has been appointed EVP, Worldwide Marketing & Publicity, and Teed becomes EVP, Worldwide Marketing & Creative Advertising. Both will report directly to Kozlowski.
Fogelson praised Cambron and Teed for their contributions, highlighting their roles as strategic partners in the studio’s successful film campaigns. Kozlowski echoed his sentiments, expressing gratitude for her team and emphasizing the collaborative environment at Lionsgate, where creative thinking is encouraged.
“I am incredibly grateful to Adam… and look forward to continuing to challenge and inspire each other daily,” Kozlowski said. “To Jack, Nasim, and the entire marketing team—you are the best in the business, and I am humbled by your boldness, brilliance, and unwavering commitment to doing right by our films and audiences.”
As Lionsgate continues to position itself in a competitive entertainment landscape, Kozlowski’s leadership is expected to enhance the studio’s marketing initiatives further, ensuring its franchises remain impactful in the industry.
