Lucy Hale Takes Lead in New Romantic Fantasy ‘Vision Board’
Lucy Hale, known for her roles in Pretty Little Liars and Truth Or Dare, will star in the upcoming romantic fantasy film Vision Board. Concourse Media is set to launch the project ahead of the Cannes market next week.
The screenplay, penned by author Morgan Matson, will be directed by Peter Hutchings. This marks the third collaboration between Hutchings and Hale, following their work on The Hating Game and Which Brings Me to You.
The plot centers around a struggling fashion designer who finds herself trapped in a monotonous life. After a night of revelry leads her to create a vision board, she wakes up to discover that she is living the life of her dreams. With a lavish Malibu mansion, a successful fashion empire, and a seemingly perfect romantic partner, her new reality seems idyllic. However, as she immerses herself in this aspirational existence, she confronts the unsettling realization that achieving her dreams may come at the expense of losing her true self.
Producers Claude Dal Farra and Brian Keady from BCDF Pictures, alongside Matthew Shreder and his team at Concourse Media, will executive-produce and finance the film in collaboration with Archetype Media Finance.
“Vision Board perfectly mixes romantic comedy with high-concept wish fulfillment," said Kristin Harris, Head of Acquisitions at Concourse. "It reminds us that while we can envision a seemingly perfect relationship, the journey is meaningless if we lose sight of ourselves along the way. We are excited to partner with this talented creative team, who excel in crafting stories that resonate.”
Producers Dal Farra and Keady echoed these sentiments, stating, “We’re drawn to stories that entertain but also delve deeper. Vision Board explores the universal theme of envisioning a better life and questions what it means to achieve those dreams. With Lucy and Peter, we have the ideal team to balance charm, humor, and emotional depth.”
Lucy Hale is represented by CAA and Reel Talent Management, while Peter Hutchings is repped by Artists First, and Morgan Matson is represented by CAA and Artists First.
