Audrey Beth Davis, Renowned Entertainment Publicist, Passes Away at 82
Audrey Beth Davis, a retired entertainment publicist who made significant contributions to the industry through her work with The Lippin Group, has passed away at the age of 82. Her colleagues at Lippin confirmed that she died of natural causes on Friday in Pennsylvania, with friends, family, and caregivers by her side.
Born on October 17, 1943, in Brooklyn, Davis was a graduate of Midwood High School, completing her studies in 1960. She embarked on her career in entertainment working alongside producer Goodson Todman on the popular game show The Match Game.
Davis later transitioned to public relations in the 1970s, first joining Stone Associates before partnering with Dick Lippin at Lippin & Grant, which eventually evolved into The Lippin Group. She remained with the firm until her retirement in 2008.
Throughout her career as a television publicist, Davis played a pivotal role in promoting several beloved shows, including The Golden Girls, Empty Nest, The Love Boat, and the Law & Order series.
She is survived by her sister Rhonda and husband Jim, sister Sharon, niece Rebecca and husband Konrad, nephew Hank and wife Karen, as well as great-nieces and nephews Jake, Sarah, Zoe, and Hannah. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Francis Home.
