Katy Perry Makes a Wish at the Trevi Fountain with a Special Gesture

Katy Perry recently lightened the mood with a humorous post from her trip to Rome, where she jokingly tossed her credit card into the Trevi Fountain for “good luck.”
In a video shared on Instagram over the weekend, Perry is seen at the iconic landmark briefly throwing her credit card into the water, playfully referencing the tradition of tossing coins to ensure a return to the city.
“Y’all, I told you in ‘Save as Draft’ that I don’t f**k with change,” Perry quips in the video, drawing on a lyric from her 2017 song. She adds, “But I feel like I need to put something in the Trevi Fountain for good luck.”
She quickly retrieves her card as it starts to float away, turning the moment into a lighthearted anecdote rather than a serious gesture.
Perry’s post was part of a broader collection of images from her time in Rome, humorously captioned “Just Rome’ing around,” capturing her in a relaxed, offstage setting. The visit included a private performance at the La Nuvola convention center, although further details about the event have not been disclosed.
This lighthearted moment comes on the heels of a more serious allegation made earlier in the week by Australian actor Ruby Rose, who claimed that Perry sexually assaulted her during a past encounter in Melbourne. Victoria Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway following Rose’s report.
In response, a representative for Perry has categorically denied the allegation, labeling it as “categorically false” and “dangerous reckless lies.”
Additionally, the post follows Perry’s appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where she was seen enjoying the event alongside former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during Justin Bieber’s set, further fueling public curiosity about their relationship.
