Police Investigate Recent Burglary Spree in San Fernando Valley
Authorities are looking into a burglary that occurred on Wednesday night in the San Fernando Valley, following a spate of break-ins just a day earlier. Reports indicate that at least two homes were targeted on Tuesday night.
The Los Angeles Police Department dispatched officers to the 6800 block of Vanscoy Avenue in Valley Glen shortly after 9:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers requested backup but quickly discovered that the suspects had fled the scene, according to LAPD Officer Jader Chaves.
No residents were home during the Wednesday burglary, and the extent of any loss remains unclear. An investigation is currently underway.
This incident comes as police continue to search for individuals involved in Tuesday night’s burglaries, which took place within minutes of each other in Valley Glen and Valley Village. Surveillance footage captured two burglars driving away from one location in a dark-colored vehicle, while video from another property shows a man appearing to survey the area before entering.
The break-ins on Tuesday resulted in shattered sliding glass doors and windows, with security cameras tampered with at one residence. Fortunately, no one was present at the homes during the incidents, and it remains unknown what items may have been stolen.
Police have not confirmed any connections between the recent burglaries.
