Jewelry Heist in Hollywood Hills Results in Assault
A daring robbery on Saturday night in Hollywood Hills left a 75-year-old man injured after he encountered two intruders in his home. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of Macapa Drive.
The assailants gained entry by smashing through a side glass window. Upon the residents’ return, they found the robbers still inside the house. As the suspects fled, they assaulted the elderly man, striking him multiple times. Fortunately, he did not require hospitalization, though details about his condition have not been disclosed.
The robbers, described as wearing black clothing and gloves, escaped in a silver sedan, taking with them approximately $150,000 worth of jewelry, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). As of early Sunday, no arrests have been made in connection with the crime.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident, and further information about the suspects’ descriptions has not yet been released.
