BTS Takes on a Record Number of Chicken Wings in Their First Appearance on ‘Hot Ones’

BTS, the globally renowned K-pop sensation, is set to make a memorable appearance on the popular web series Hot Ones. Announced on Sunday, April 5, all seven members of the group will join host Sean Evans to tackle the show’s notorious “wings of death.”
The announcement featured a video of Evans at an unusually large table, a departure from the usual single-celebrity format of the show. “This week’s guests on the season finale of Hot Ones, they flew all the way across the world to be here at this table,” Evans stated.
He continued, noting the unique setup: “It’s the largest one this studio has ever seen. We’ve got seven chairs, seven sets of wings. Including me, that is 80 wings on the table, a Hot Ones record.”
The video highlighted social media reactions from fans, known as ARMY, who had long anticipated BTS’s appearance. It also showcased the backs of the seven guest chairs, each marked with name tags for RM, j-hope, Jin, SUGA, V, Jung Kook, and Jimin. “It’s gonna be dynamite,” Evans added, referencing hit songs by the group, “Smooth like butter.”
Fans eagerly await the episode’s release at 11 a.m. ET on Thursday, April 9, when they will find out how each member performs against the show’s increasingly spicy challenges. Coinciding with this appearance, BTS will also commence its world stadium tour in support of their new album ARIRANG, which recently achieved its second consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
