Kevin Spacey Reaches Settlement With Men Who Accused Him of Sexual Assault
Kevin Spacey has reached a settlement with three men who accused him of sexual assault, according to multiple reports.
The civil case was scheduled for trial in London later this year, but proceedings have been halted due to the settlement, which has not disclosed any financial details or further specifics.
One of the accusers, Ruari Cannon, who waived his right to anonymity, also settled with the Old Vic theater over claims involving Spacey two weeks ago. Cannon alleges that the Oscar-winner groped him at a party while Spacey was serving as the theater’s artistic director. Cannon participated in the Channel 4 and HBO documentary, Spacey Unmasked, which aired in 2024. The other two men involved in the settlement have chosen to remain anonymous and also allege that Spacey assaulted them.
Spacey has consistently denied all allegations of misconduct. In 2023, he was acquitted of nine charges, including sexual assault, from incidents that reportedly took place between 2001 and 2013 involving four men. Two of these accusers also filed civil claims at the High Court, as reported by BBC News.

Following the 2023 trial, Spacey has been gradually working to revive his career. He has secured roles in several films, directed productions, and made appearances at various festivals. In late 2022, Spacey stated that he “literally” had no permanent residence and was living out of a suitcase in hotels and Airbnbs while working as a lounge singer in Cyprus. He drew a parallel between his situation and the experiences of actors who faced blacklisting during the McCarthy era.
Earlier, Spacey was found not liable in a U.S. civil case brought by actor Anthony Rapp, who accused him of molestation when he was 14.
