Meghan Markle Spends Heartwarming Time at Hospital, Painting with Patients Before Her Australia Trip
Meghan Markle Surprises Patients at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
On March 12, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, made an unexpected visit to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, delighting young patients with an afternoon of painting and crafts. The event allowed her to interact with patients both in their rooms and at the Creative Oasis area of the hospital.
Markle’s visit is part of her ongoing support for the hospital, following a previous engagement in 2024 when she read stories to patients. This time, she participated in artistic activities, aiming to uplift the spirits of those facing challenging health issues.
"Today we were honored to welcome LA’s own @meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to CHLA’s Creative Oasis, where she spent time painting alongside our incredible patients," the hospital announced on Instagram. "These special moments are a reminder of how powerful creativity can be in fostering joy, connection, and healing."
This event was aligned with the hospital’s annual fundraiser, "Make March Matter," which supports vital care, research, and innovation at the facility.
For her visit, Markle chose a beige cardigan by Heidi Merrick, initially featured in her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. She paired it with a white tank top, white pants, and a black face mask, reflecting her commitment to both style and safety.
This visit marks Markle’s continued engagement with CHLA, emphasizing her dedication to bringing joy and comfort to young patients. During her previous visit, she had charmed children by reading favorite books, bringing laughter and joy to the hospital environment.
As Markle prepares for an upcoming trip to Australia with her husband, Prince Harry, her commitment to supporting children’s health remains evident through her actions in her hometown.
