Disneyland Resort Addresses Incident Involving Fallen Tree
Disneyland Resort has clarified details following reports of a tree falling during Tuesday’s severe weather in Southern California. The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on the patio of the Plaza Inn, a restaurant located within the theme park.
A spokesperson for Disneyland confirmed to NBC Los Angeles that due to inclement weather, the patio was not in use at the time, and no diners were present.
According to the statement, two individuals were treated for “minor grazes” at the scene, though the details surrounding their injuries were not disclosed. The Disney Fire Department assessed the area, and crews worked throughout the night to remove the fallen tree.
The region experienced significant weather on Tuesday, which included mountain snowfall, street flooding, and considerable rainfall. Forecasters indicate that another storm is expected to impact Southern California later this week.
