Roku Hires Patrick Harris, Formerly at Snap and Meta, as New Head of Advertising
Patrick Harris Joins Roku as Senior Vice President of Global Media Revenue
Patrick Harris, a veteran in the tech industry, has been appointed as Senior Vice President of Global Media Revenue at Roku. Harris, who has previously held senior positions at Snap and Meta (formerly Facebook), will begin his role on March 9 in New York, reporting to Roku Media President Charlie Collier.
This leadership position comes after the departure of Jay Askinasi, who left Roku for Paramount last fall, creating an opening within Roku’s sales organization. With 25 years of experience, Harris joins Roku during a promising phase for the company’s platform business, which is heavily reliant on advertising revenue. Recent reports indicated that Roku achieved higher-than-expected earnings for the fourth quarter and showcased a positive financial outlook for 2026.
In his new role, Harris will be responsible for driving ad revenue growth and enhancing performance metrics. He will collaborate with senior executives across various sectors, including advertising, product development, engineering, marketing, and measurement.
Harris’s career includes significant milestones, such as serving as President of the Americas at Snap, where he led the sales division and oversaw teams focused on agency partnerships, ad tech integrations, and creator relations. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Meta, most recently as Vice President of Global Channels, and held a five-year tenure at Microsoft, where he contributed to the search ad revenue at Bing.
"Patrick has built and scaled high-performing teams, earned the trust of the world’s most sophisticated marketers, and helped grow some of the most influential ad-supported digital platforms in the industry," said Collier. "His track record driving measurable brand performance and lower-funnel marketer outcomes, along with his strategic instincts and collaborative leadership style, will strengthen our teams, deepen our partnerships with clients, and accelerate Roku’s CTV strategy."
Harris expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating that he was drawn to Roku due to its assets, momentum, and the unique opportunity to make a significant impact at a transformative moment in the industry.
