Plane Accident Near Homes in Camarillo: What We Know So Far
A small single-engine aircraft crashed into a drainage area behind homes in Ventura County on Sunday, resulting in critical injuries for both occupants, authorities reported.
The Ventura County Fire Department confirmed that rescuers had to extricate the two individuals from the wreckage before they were transported to nearby hospitals for severe injuries. Luckily, no homes or other properties were affected in the incident, and there were no reported injuries on the ground.
Firefighters remained at the scene to manage potential hazards. There were no fires reported, and it’s unclear how much fuel, if any, was left in the aircraft.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and are on their way to the site to investigate further.
Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims involved.
This remains a developing story.
