Police Increase DUI Patrols for Super Bowl Sunday Safety
Law enforcement agencies across Southern California are urging drivers to enjoy Super Bowl Sunday responsibly, emphasizing the importance of avoiding impaired driving. In light of the upcoming game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara, police will enhance patrols to target DUI offenders.
Authorities from the California Highway Patrol, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and Los Angeles Police Department will increase their presence on roads throughout the region.
“Super Bowl Sunday brings excitement, energy, and visitors from across the country,” said CHP Commissioner Sean Duryee. “Our goal is to keep California’s roads safe, and we will actively enforce laws against unsafe and reckless driving. At the end of the day, the real winner is the one who makes it home safely.”
With numerous alternatives available for safe transportation, law enforcement officials recommend planning ahead to ensure a secure way to travel before the festivities commence.
