BLACKPINK Shares New Concept Photos Showcasing Their Alluring Style Before Album Release ‘DEADLINE’
BLACKPINK Teases New Mini-Album with Sophisticated Concept Photos
K-pop sensation BLACKPINK has unveiled a series of concept photos for their upcoming mini-album, DEADLINE, providing fans, known as BLINKs, with a glimpse into an exciting new phase for the group.
Transitioning from their signature pink aesthetic, members LISA, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and JISOO donned elegant all-white outfits. The four grayscale images, released by YG Entertainment on Thursday, January 29, focus on intimate close-ups of their features, showcasing pouty lips, sleek hairstyles, and striking manicures.
The accompanying press release describes the photos as exuding “a sensual black-and-white aesthetic” that elevates excitement for the forthcoming release. It further emphasizes that the images convey “the feeling of a refined work of art” that makes it “impossible to look away.”
These revelations arrive just weeks before DEADLINE is set to drop, marking BLACKPINK’s first album in over three years. The project follows the success of their 2022 Billboard 200-topping album, Born Pink, and will feature five tracks, including the lead single “JUMP,” released in July.
ROSÉ shared her thoughts on the album during a recent appearance on Call Her Daddy, explaining, “It’s an album that we’ve all kind of obviously come back from after that year of exploring and all being our individual selves. And so I think it was really interesting to come back and see what was created after that. I really like all the songs there.”
Last year, BLACKPINK officially reunited, embarking on a world tour that included 33 shows across 16 cities. The tour commenced in July in Goyang, South Korea, and concluded with performances in Hong Kong in January, showcasing the group’s enduring popularity and unity.
The newly released concept posters for DEADLINE offer an intriguing preview of what fans can expect from this next chapter in BLACKPINK’s illustrious career.
