Michael Bublé Advocates for Early Holiday Music
Michael Bublé stirred interest during his recent appearance on the December 4 episode of Kylie Kelce’s podcast, Not Gonna Lie, where he shared his thoughts on the timing for holiday music.
The renowned Grammy-winning artist, 50, stated, “I’m Michael Bublé, and I’m not gonna lie. We should start listening to Christmas music in June.” This playful declaration reflects Bublé’s enthusiasm for the festive season, which has been bolstered by the commercial success of his 2010 Christmas album, certified six-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Bublé humorously noted, “It would be great for my streaming revenue," referencing his strong presence on the Billboard Holiday 100 chart, which he has dominated since its inception in 2011, including a notable No. 12 hit with his rendition of "It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas."
When asked about his favorite holiday performance, Bublé expressed a fondness for “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” calling it "one of the most well-crafted songs ever." His admiration for the song underscores his genuine love for music and its connection to personal memories.
During the podcast, Bublé also shared his affinity for the holiday season, stating, “I love Christmas.” Now as a father of four with his wife, Luisana Lopilato, Bublé finds joy in experiencing the holiday through the eyes of his children—Noah, 12, Elias, 9, Vida, 7, and Cielo, 3.
“I loved it before when I was a kid, but now I love it even more because I just see it through the eyes of them,” he explained. This perspective enriches his holiday experiences, as he cherishes creating lasting memories with his family, such as baking cookies and decorating the Christmas tree.
“I can’t tell you how much I love building those memories,” Bublé noted. “Those are the moments that I will probably search for, for the rest of my life, and they’re happening now. So I love Christmas. I love being a part of it,” he concluded, emphasizing the importance of family traditions during the festive season.
