Victoria Beckham and Brooklyn Beckham’s Uncomfortable Red Carpet Moment with Nicola Peltz Surfaces During Family Tension
An awkward moment on the red carpet has reignited interest in the public tensions within the Beckham family. A video of Victoria Beckham, her son Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, emerged from the October 2023 premiere of Netflix’s documentary series Beckham. The footage, shared widely on social media, captures a visibly uncomfortable Nicola, 31, as she poses alongside Brooklyn, 26, and their parents, Victoria and David Beckham, 50.
In the clip, Nicola appears detached, avoiding eye contact with her in-laws while only breaking into a smile momentarily at Brooklyn’s glance. This resurfacing of the video follows Brooklyn’s recent public statement detailing his fraught relationship with his parents, claiming they have initiated hostility towards Nicola since their marriage in 2022.
A photo from the event further underscores this family tension, showing the entire Beckham family—including Romeo Beckham with his girlfriend Mia Regan, Cruz Beckham, and Harper Beckham—all smiling for the cameras as Nicola looks worriedly off to the side.
Brooklyn’s statement marks the first public acknowledgment of the ongoing family discord. He asserted, “David and Victoria have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”
In his remarks, Brooklyn accused his parents of manipulating public narratives about the family, alleging that they have propagated “countless lies in the media” to maintain a façade at the expense of others. He expressed a belief that the truth will ultimately prevail.
Additionally, Brooklyn recounted that his mother allegedly sabotaged his wedding to Nicola by canceling a planned wedding dress design at the last minute, prompting Nicola to scramble for an alternative.
He went on to describe a critical moment during the ceremony, claiming that Victoria "hijacked" his first dance with Nicola, which he described as an emotionally uncomfortable experience. “I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” Brooklyn stated, emphasizing their desire to renew their vows to create joyful memories rather than feelings of anxiety.
In the wake of Brooklyn’s statements, a guest from the wedding corroborated his account via a now-deleted Instagram comment, stating, “I was there and she did, he’s telling the truth.”

The recent turmoil also sparked criticism from Nicola’s former hairstylist, who characterized her as one of the most challenging clients he has encountered. He remarked, “Brooklyn’s wife was one of the worst ‘celebs’ I’ve ever worked with. It’s her … she’s a baddddd apple.”
As the Beckham family’s public strife unfolds, both supporters and critics continue to engage with the various narratives surrounding this high-profile family.
