Sharon and Kelly Osbourne Remember Late Music Icon Ozzy Osbourne on His 77th Birthday
Sharon and Kelly Osbourne recently paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne, marking what would have been his 77th birthday. The beloved musician passed away at the age of 76 in July.
On December 3, Sharon Osbourne shared an Instagram Reel that featured a compilation of tributes from fans along with cherished photos of her and her late husband. In her heartfelt post, she wrote, "My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born. I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side."
Kelly Osbourne, 41, also honored her father with an Instagram Reel filled with moments of him laughing. Accompanying the video, she reflected, "miss Ozzy’s smile," and optimistically added, "I promise to never stop smiling!"
The family had previously discussed their grief during the first episode of The Osbournes podcast in over a year, where they honored Ozzy’s life and legacy. During the emotional episode featuring Sharon, Kelly, and Jack Osbourne, Kelly expressed, "I never realized just how horrible grief is. I never knew I was capable of loving somebody so much and missing somebody so much. I just — I never thought there’d be a day where he wouldn’t be here."
Sharon then reminded Kelly of the blessings of having had a father like Ozzy. She shared her own struggles, noting that her grief arrives in “waves,” and mentioned her difficulty sleeping alone after 43 years of marriage to the music icon.
"I mean, I slept with you for the first two months so that you weren’t on your own," Kelly stated. "But then I felt like you needed some space.”
Reflecting on her mornings, Kelly said, "I wake up and for the first three seconds I feel normal. And then I remember everything. Mornings are the hardest for me." She emphasized how much she misses her father, stating, “But it’s just all I seem to find myself doing these days because I miss him so much."
As they navigate their grief, both Sharon and Kelly continue to celebrate Ozzy’s life and legacy, cherishing the joyful memories he shared with them.
