Get to Know Jensen Ackles’ Three Kids: Justice, Zeppelin, and Arrow

Jensen Ackles, renowned as the "Sexiest TV Star" by PEOPLE readers, is also a dedicated family man. He and his wife, Danneel Harris Ackles, first crossed paths in 2006 while working on the romantic comedy Ten Inch Hero. They married in 2010 and welcomed their first child, Justice Jay Ackles, in 2013. Three years later, the couple expanded their family with fraternal twins, Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes.

Currently, the family resides in Austin, Texas, close to Jensen’s roots in Dallas. Together, they enjoy life with their three children. "As we drove by, Danneel and I both looked at our real estate agent and were like, ‘See, that is the kind of house we’re looking for,’” Jensen recounted to Architectural Digest regarding their family-friendly home, which they acquired after persuading the previous owners to sell the unlisted property.

The Ackles family has made a habit of traveling together. In March 2022, they visited Disneyland to celebrate Danneel’s birthday, capturing memories in front of the castle and enjoying various attractions. Jensen shared on Instagram, "It was @danneelackles512 birthday yesterday and in keeping with tradition…she gave the celebration to the kids."

In addition to their travels, the family is involved in meaningful activities. In April 2022, they spent time in New Orleans while Jensen and Danneel were filming the Supernatural spinoff, The Winchesters. Danneel expressed her gratitude on social media, saying, "I am feeling blessed and grateful to be with my family and friends in this great city where I find endless inspiration and magic on every corner."

Justice Jay Ackles, 12

Justice Jay, affectionately known as "JJ," was born on May 30, 2013. Danneel announced her arrival on Twitter, writing, "We are happy to announce the birth of our precious baby girl. She was born happy and healthy." Recently, JJ walked the red carpet for the premiere of the Disney+ movie Zombies 3, where Jensen called it a "Proud papa moment," sharing on Instagram, "Took JJ to her first ‘Hollywood Premier.’ She walked the carpet like a pro (a pro that held on tight to her dad)."

JJ also played a pivotal role in helping Jensen join Instagram when she was just two years old. Jensen humorously noted, "In an effort to squash some posers, my daughter is helping me start an Instagram," adding that his first post was of him and JJ.

To celebrate her 10th birthday in May 2023, Jensen posted a heartfelt selfie with his daughter, reflecting on the decade passed. "10 years old today. A whole decade. I can’t. What is happening?!" he wrote.

Zeppelin Bram Ackles and Arrow Rhodes Ackles, 9

On December 2, 2016, Jensen and Danneel welcomed twins Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes into their family. Jensen took to Instagram to share, "Danneel, JJ and I are excited to announce the birth of our twins Zeppelin Bram and Arrow Rhodes. They were born early yesterday morning. Everyone is doing great! #twinning."

Jensen has revealed that Zeppelin’s name was inspired by a significant moment during his birth when the twin’s umbilical cord was tied in a loose knot. This incident led him to search for nautical terms, resulting in the choice of "Zeppelin." During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, he explained how their unique names influenced their children’s names and the creative process surrounding it.

As a father, Jensen showcases strong parenting skills. Danneel highlighted his efforts in a post where he was seen feeding both twins simultaneously. He openly expresses concern for his children’s safety and has spoken about the impacts of tragic events, such as the Uvalde school shooting. While celebrating the twins’ preschool graduation in June 2022, he remarked on the relief of not having to return them to school immediately.

The family recently engaged in activism, with Danneel sharing a photo of the children in Pride shirts. "Happy Pride! Our family is celebrating the values we hold true all year. Inclusion, Diversity, and Love," she captioned the post, reinforcing their commitment to acceptance and support for the LGBTQIA community.
