Johnny Knoxville’s ‘Fear Factor’ Reboot to Premiere Early During NFL Wild Card Game on Fox
The highly anticipated premiere of Fear Factor: House of Fear is set for January 11, 2024, following a special advance showing that will leverage the excitement of an NFL wildcard game. Fox will air the reboot, hosted by Johnny Knoxville, at 8 PM ET, just after its coverage of the NFL game that kicks off at 4:30 PM ET.
The Fear Factor reboot will debut immediately after the NFL wildcard game, making it accessible to all time zones. Following its launch, The Masked Singer will feature a special “Fear Night” episode on January 14 at 8 PM, followed by the time-period premiere of Fear Factor: House of Fear at 9 PM, with new episodes continuing on January 21.
Broadcast networks frequently utilize high-profile NFL games to promote new and returning series. Last year, Season 3 of Rob Lowe’s The Floor was similarly scheduled after the Super Bowl on Fox.

This reimagined version of the reality competition series draws inspiration from the Endemol Shine Netherlands format, showcasing 14 contestants from around the United States.
According to the official logline, “Fear Factor is back, bigger, bolder, and more daring as Fear Factor: House of Fear! Dropped into an unforgiving, remote location, a group of strangers will live together under one roof and face mind-blowing stunts, harrowing challenges, and a twisted game of social strategy where trust is fleeting — and fear is a weapon. Only one contestant will conquer all their fears and walk away with the massive grand prize!”
Fear Factor: House of Fear is produced by Endemol Shine North America, a Banijay Americas company. The series will be overseen by executive producer and showrunner Kevin Lee, along with executive producers Anthony Carbone, Sharon Levy, Michael Heyerman, and Sean Loughlin from Endemol Shine North America.
