SDSA Awards: Set Decorators Celebrate Nominations for ‘One Battle After Another,’ ‘Sinners,’ ‘Frankenstein,’ and More
Set Decorators Society of America Announces 2026 Awards Nominations
The Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA) has unveiled the nominees for its 2026 SDSA Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in set decoration across various film categories, including contemporary, period, fantasy/sci-fi, and comedy/musical genres.
Among the nominees, notable titles include awards-season favorites such as One Battle After Another, Sinners, Frankenstein, and Marty Supreme. Additionally, box office hits like Avatar: Fire and Ash, Fantastic Four: The First Steps, and How to Train Your Dragon are in contention for the honors. The winners will be announced on February 21 during the SDSA Awards for Film, which reflect works from the past year.
Last year’s awards honored the production teams behind A Complete Unknown, Wicked, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and Conclave. Notably, Wicked production designer Nathan Crowley and set decorator Lee Sandales subsequently secured the Oscar for Production Design. However, Wicked: For Good does not appear on this year’s nominations list.
It is noteworthy that the SDSA will also present a Best Picture award, although nominations for this category were not included again this year.
