Este Haim of the sister trio Haim and tech entrepreneur Jonathan Levin were married in a New Year’s Eve ceremony in California. Este described the day as one she had been looking forward to since childhood, stating in an interview with Vogue that she had envisioned her wedding since she was five years old. The fashion magazine also covered her final dress fitting at Louis Vuitton leading up to the event.
Attendees included notable figures such as Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks, who were spotted in photographs published by paparazzi and later featured in a report by People. Swift, who wore a gold-sequinned gown suitable for the holiday, is a close friend of Este and her sisters Danielle and Alana Haim. The two have collaborated musically on tracks like “No Body, No Crime” and “Gasoline.”
Este shared her dream of a fairy-tale wedding during her Vogue segment, recalling a vision of herself descending a spiral staircase in a grand gown. “I would come down in this giant ballroom gown, descending down, and then my fiancé, husband, would be at the bottom [and] grab my hand,” she said.
The wedding dress was designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, the women’s creative director at Louis Vuitton, and Este also had two additional outfits prepared for the reception and after-party.
Este had announced her engagement to Levin in February with a playful Instagram post, though the proposal had occurred on December 22, 2024, during a hike that took her by surprise. She humorously recounted being in a casual outfit, with no makeup on, and still managing to capture the moment with fellow hikers.
Este is the first of the Haim sisters to marry, as highlighted in their video for Vogue.
The band’s latest album, I Quit, released in July, achieved significant chart success, reaching No. 2 on the Top Rock Albums chart, No. 3 on Top Alternative Albums, and No. 25 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
